The Twincity Marathon 2027 returns as a night-time road race across Cyberjaya and Putrajaya on 23–24 January 2027. Runners line up for full, half, 12km, 10km, 5km and a 3km kids’ category. The full marathon flag-off sounds at 2:30am with an eight-hour cut-off. Start and finish sit at Dataran Putrajaya. The course threads through both administrative capitals under streetlights.
What to expect
Half marathon runners leave at 3:45am. The route stays open long enough for walkers and slower pacers to finish before cut-off. Categories span 42K, 21K, 12K, 10K, 5K and the 3K kids’ race. Separate international rates apply to the 42km and 21km entries. Aid stations, timing mats and medical support follow the standard road marathon layout. The night setting keeps temperatures lower than a daytime start.

Getting there
From central Kuala Lumpur, a Grab or private car covers the 35km to Putrajaya in 40 to 50 minutes. Allow extra buffer on race morning for road closures and traffic. The train option uses KLIA Transit from KL Sentral to Putrajaya & Cyberjaya station, followed by a short Grab ride to Dataran Putrajaya. Both routes drop you near the start line.
