SHENZHEN, November 7, 2026 — Denza, a luxury brand owned by BYD, is set to launch its flagship 5-seat SUV, the Denza N8, on November 12, 2026, with a claimed CLTC range of up to 1,003 km. The launch event was announced on Denza’s Weibo page, and pre-orders have been open since October 26, 2026, with a 2,000 RMB deposit and a limited-time 5,000 RMB credit.
Key Features And Specifications
The Denza N8 is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Batteries, which provide a pure electric CLTC range of up to 1,003 km on a single charge. The battery pack comes in two sizes: 130.15 kWh for the long-range version and 105.79 kWh for the standard version. The SUV features a tri-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, producing a combined 890 kW (1,193 hp), and a single rear-wheel-drive motor option with either 320 kW (429 hp) or 370 kW (496 hp). The Denza N8 also boasts BYD’s Flash Charging technology, allowing it to recharge from 10% to 80% in just five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes.
Design And Interior
The Denza N8 measures 5,150 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,820 mm high, with a 3,075 mm wheelbase, making it slightly longer than the Kia EV9 and Hyundai IONIQ 9. The interior features a 30-inch spanning infotainment screen, zero-gravity seating, and ambient lighting. The SUV is also equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor to support BYD’s God’s Eye 5.0 intelligent driving assistance system and the DiSus-A intelligent air suspension system.
Market And Pricing
While the pricing for the Denza N8 has not been disclosed, it is expected to be slightly less than the N8L, an extended version that starts at 299,800 RMB ($45,000). The pre-order response has been described as “excellent” by Denza’s general manager, Li Hui, who also called the N8 “the most anticipated luxury SUV of the year.” The Denza N8 will be available for purchase in China only at this stage, with no confirmed export date. As of now, the CLTC range figures are the Chinese lab standards, which typically read higher than WLTP or EPA ratings. On November 12, 2026, the Denza N8 will officially launch, and more details about pricing and availability are expected to be announced.
