Anaheim Ducks Games Head to Prime Video for 2026-27 NHL Season

ANAHEIM, Sept. 2 — The Anaheim Ducks are changing how their fans watch hockey, announcing a new partnership that will put every regional game on Prime Video starting with the 2026-27 NHL season. The story begins with a simple goal: making sure no Ducks fan is left without a way to see the team play. Under the agreement, all non-nationally televised games will stream for in-market fans with an Amazon Prime membership — and in Year 1, that stream comes at no additional charge.

For those who prefer traditional television, the club will continue airing 65 games on over-the-air channels KCOP-13 or FOX 11. The dual approach means locally broadcast Ducks games remain available to 100% of the Los Angeles market.

“It was critical to provide our fans in our entire television market with a similar model to have Ducks games available via stream or over-the-air television,” said Ducks President Aaron Teats. “It remains a significant organizational priority for all Ducks fans within our region to have the opportunity to watch Ducks games.” The streaming territory is expansive, covering Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, San Diego County, Imperial County, Santa Barbara County, Ventura County, and Hawaii.

In-market fans can watch at home or on the go, across thousands of compatible devices — from smartphones and tablets to set-top boxes, game consoles, and connected TVs, or streaming from the web. Charlie Neiman, Head of Sports Partnerships at Prime Video, framed the deal as an expansion of an existing relationship.

“We’re excited to build upon our strong relationship with the NHL and provide fans with more ways to connect with the local teams they love,” he said. “We have firmly established Prime Video as a primary destination for sports and look forward to helping these teams broaden the reach and accessibility of their live games.” At its heart, the arrangement is also a production shift. The Ducks will launch an exclusive multimedia broadcast network, with all games produced in collaboration with NHL Productions.

The club oversees the network’s production, distribution, sales, and marketing, while the NHL’s newly launched centralized production for regional broadcasts supplies comprehensive services — including premium game production, advanced graphics and replay capabilities, and technical and engineering support. Fans outside the Ducks’ television territory can still catch the action through NHL Power Play on the ESPN App or NHL Center Ice. What unfolds next is a test season.

The Ducks open the 2026-27 regular season on Friday, Oct. 2, on the road against the Vegas Golden Knights at 7 p.m. PT. Additional details on television broadcasts are expected as the season approaches.
